Hi everybody! My company is planning to start making C/S applications soon and we´re studing the choices we got. Right now we use VFP as our development tool but we focuse solely on desktop apps for small and medium bussinesses (no more than 20 users) and we´ve been doing good with VFP and its native DBs.

We already picked MS-SQL as the database server even when the idea is to make the application open to a variety of database servers (like Oracle) but had not made our minds on the programming language yet and we´ve been thinking of VFP or C#. The company owners wants to follow the Microsoft line and so they demanded and that was the main reason of SQL Server as the choosen DB Server :). Obviously our experience with VFP will help us to accomplish with the project faster but there are also some things that VFP can´t make it on its own that we´d like to include on the new applications like web integration.

So fellows, knowing all the experienced developers on this forum I´d like you give me your advice in what would be the pro and cons of choosing VFP or C# (any other proposed programming language?). We need to get started on this project and your comments will greatly help us to make a decision.
