How can I avoid the nodecheck in a treeview control?

I tried this in the NodeCheck() method of the treeview and nothing works

Node.Checked = .F.
NODEFAULT
RETURN .F.

None of this approach works, I need to avoid the checkbox to mark, how can I do this?
