Hey all,
Does anyone know of a method of retrieving the extended structural information of a table without actually opening it?
I have code that compares the DBF contents of two directories which also determines changes in structure between related tables. This process can be very time-consuming when the tables are large, and I see no reason why table structure info (which I assume would be in the header sections of DBFs) can't be plucked from the DBFs without needing to drag unneeded data across a network.
Thanks!
