Via DDE, you can automate the entry of fax numbers into WinFax. I would really recommend something like this rather than creating your own fax method. You "could" use something like COMET or one of the other libraries, but why recreate it when a product like WinFax gives you all the functionality and more. The DDE calls have been done by many people successfully. I haven't had the "need" to do it as of yet (most people find that it's not that difficult to manually select the information), but I believe that it is well documented within WinFax on how to do it. Another benefit is that it is already network enabled which means that you wouldn't have to have a fax modem in every machine in the office (all compatible with the library that you choose).

If you are set on using a library, check out hallogram. They have several COM libraries to choose from. None are specific to faxing, but most have examples of how you can use them for faxing
