Yet he is quite happy to take developer's $$$ to provide his VFP "award winning training". Duffy's message may be consistent but his motives remain somewhat suspect.
He isn't taking developer's $$$... they are giving it to him. There is a big difference. If he complains about VFP (and to the best of my knowledge, his complaints are about VFP as a data store, not the language itself), and people still want to pay him for VFP training, who's to blame?
