Hi Tracy,

> We've been converting FPD26 screens manuall for some time yet.
We have over 300 screens to convert so it is taking quite some time. I'm hoping to find a utility that someone may have already done that will avoid the creation of the formset during the conversion process. As it is now, we have tested both functional and visual conversion methods and pretty much cut/paste to a new form moving our dos code where it belongs in vfp form, etc. Any time saver would be greater appreciated so I am researching alternatives. Since so many have done this in the past, I was hoping someone >had already come up with a quicker solution.

I had a small routine to fix up the results of the conversion from FPW to VFP, which eliminates the formset, removes the buttongroups in case of single buttons, renames a few control types by hacking the scx.

Problem is, if you are using *any* dynamic modification of the old style forms with @prompt, or @say disable/enable for instance, this will not work always if you alter the converted forms structure. You will need to get a reference to the control and work with it's PEM's directly. But if the old code is mostly free of such code sequences, it is quite easy. I will be next week at the location where I did my "experiments", perhaps there is an old version there, if you are interested.

Regards,

thomas
