No. If the point is go to C#, move to VB.NET then C# is worse than go to C# in one move. By the way, from a VB-only coder go to VB.NET is enough harder now, so if jump directly to C# (if that is the plan) can be best anyway.

But, if C# is not the point, and a guy have VB background, then move to VB.NET is the easy path.
