I need to add to that question.

I have had ongoing intermittent problems with views for a long time now.
views which should have data..for no apparent reason contains no data. Without going into too much detail, it's as if there is a vfp bug where sometimes memory get corrupt and the view fails sometimes. This is very frustrating since I have 100 customers running my program and I get a phone call from one of them about once a month saying some of their data is missing. I have been able to reproduce the problem but have had no solution.

Also, it seems that file corruptions are more frequent with power failures when views are being used as opposed to free tables.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? I could use some advice too. I'm thinking about rewritting my whole app to not use views !

I am running vfp6. Is vfp8 better for this?
