Hi, Hilmar, Ionut.

>>Why the jobs posted here are only in the US and rarely othe countries? I coudn't find forum with jobs that hosts WANTED in Australia, United Kingdom or Nez Zeeland. Is VFP only used in US or what?

>I have wondered about this before. Look at the UT data. About 50% of the UT participants are from the United States - however, perhaps 90% of the job postings are from the U.S. I still wonder what the reason might be.

While the total number of UT member is 50% from US, I'm pretty sure the distribution of "active" member is higher from US.

Anyway, this makes a positive feedback for US jobs posting. Being most people from US, jobs posted in US have much higher reply rate, and thus are more effective.

Other than that, I posted jobs a few times here and had a few answers. I didn't included a clause simmilar to the sponsorship one, and in fact received some replies from developers outside Argentina that sadly I'm not able to bring here (anyway, I think they *assumed* that things would be better in Argentina than in their own countries, something that I doubt).

In the opposite direction, a friend of mine from Argentina had posted an ad offering his services as a software consultant while living here, and had no replies. As soon as he moved to Canada, I told him that it was better for him to update his profile, and then he started making contacts.

So I think it's mostly something related to the size of each job market.

Best regards,
