Could you check the AFP.INI file in the AFP directory and make sure the HTTPHEADER line looks like this

HTTPHEADER=HTTP/1.0 200 OK

In previous releases there wasn't a blank between 200 and OK. Worked fine on most browsers. IE 6 SP1, though, follows the HTTP specifications more closely and rejects such a page now. Might explain why it suddenly stopped working. You need to restart the web server after making the change. BTW, you might want to download the most recent release of AFP 2.4 at http://www.afpages.com.
