I know this question has been covered before, but I can't find references.

I have 2 clients who are having problems with slow opening forms. There are around 12 views in the DE of the form, approx. half the tables are lookups and load with a small amount of data, the biggest table is about 13Mb which has No Data in the DE but I get the latest record for display in the Load. This form can take up to 40 seconds to load.

Configuration 1:
WIN2K PRO SP3 acting as peer server to 1 WIN98 workstation, CAT5 10Mb hub.

Configuration 2:
WIN2000 Server SP3 WITH 7 WIN XP PRO workstations, CAT5 & 100Mb Switch.

Both systems access the data via a mapped drive.

Both systems can take as long as each other to load, however, config2 may be due to other loadings on the server as I would expect a 100Mb switch to outperform a 10Mb hub.

I would appreciate it if I could be pointed in the right direction - if I remember correctly there is possibly something I can do with WIN2K to help.
