I'm using VSS with VFP but *without* IDE integration. I have a project with several subprojects and the VSS tree matches the working directory tree on my development drive. What is the right way to move a file from a main folder to a subfolder, while retaining its history? I tried:

- drag/drop in VSS, but this branched the file into two locations

- "move" in VSS (right click and drag), but this created a branched condition, with the original deleted, which I guess is OK but being a VSS newbie I wasn't sure. If this is the right move, it looks like all that remains is to delete the second copy on disk (in the top folder).

Is there some one-step approach to this that accomplishes the move in both VSS and on the local file system?

Thanks,

-- Randy
