I see to have a problem with the collations that are coming back from the grave ;-)


I had problem over the weekend with a DB that was generated with collation on some columns. This caused the join between tables to fail since the collation on the join elements where different from one table to the other.

So, I generated the whole DB creation script, took out all (and I doubled checked) collations, and generated the DB. To verify that no collation where generated, I generated a second script, to see if any collation whould come out. NONE!

This morning, there is some columns that have collation... Where are they coming from ???

Is it possible that EM on my laptop (used to administer this DB) is doing this ? Both the server and my laptop use a french version of Windows (2000 pro for the server and XP pro for my laptop) ???

Is it possible to 'instruc' the server to get rid off all the collation and that no collation whould be used ???
