Not really. There is a working example of using triggers to create an audit log in Chapter 7 of Kilofox (1001 Things You Wanted to Know About VFP). See the "When should I use a trigger" section in the 'Using Triggers and Rules in VFP' section beginning on page 231

It really is very simple to do this.
