I don't think migrating to one is easier than the other. I might give a slight edge to VB .NET, just because some of the syntax is similiar to VFP. Also, the VFP .NET Toolkit syntax looks more like VFP in VB .NET.

As far as preference, I like both languages equally. I like the terse syntax of C# and the RAD capabilities of VB .NET. As VB .NET adds more RAD tools, I may lean towards it. But the truth is, I already have a preference: VFP. With .NET, I am looking for something that will expand my toolset and capabilities, and perhaps provide a little more job security. IMO, C# fits that bill better than VB .NET.

While you may end up using just one language, I would become at least familiar with both. There's not that much difference between them at this point.
