It's sad, isn't it, that such a great and capable language did not take off ... the job searches for VFP on Monster and Hot Jobs are dreadful ... when compared to C# and VB.NET and ASP.NET and ADO.NET ... blah, blah, blah.

Change or die I guess ... I'm doing that change thing. I guess I'm lucky in the sense that all of my development is still in VFP (client) and SQL Server 2000 (backend) but my company is willing to shell out thousands to teach me .NET. I'm glad I don't have to exist as a consultant (with the required amount of hours) and can work a 9:00 to 5:00 for a company doing VFP work while learning .NET ... I guess for now ... until I hit an equivalent level of expertise with .NET ... I appreciate the cocoon of steady employment in a environment I've mastered.

Hopefully www.savvysolutions.com will help others make the leap more easily than will.

Respectfully,

CT
