Hello Henry.

Thank you for your kind response. I am trying to delete the text control in column one of a base grid but that is not happenening. How exactly can a control be removed from the grid.

1. Select the textbox in the drop down list at the top of the property sheet

2. Click on the title bar of the form designer

3. Press the delete key

Do not forget to set the Sparse property of the column to .F.

BTW, if you have a copy of 1001 Things You Wanted to Know About VFP, we have an expanding edit box class in chapter 4 that might make it a little nicer for your users.

The class works even when the edit box is inside a grid < s >.
