ya. i am passing the password and username in the connection string of my cursor adapter class. My connection string is

Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Password=1;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=redge;Initial Catalog=Northwind;Data Source=REDGE77;

This works fine in XP but not in Win98
