i do remember there being a few issues with xp on nt server networks, i think that it centred around xp being more advanced etc. this may effect the way it networks in and the way nt server closes the connections

(I presented this question moments earlier...this one fits the page better)
Hi. NT4 server. Attempting to write a backup routime to keep my workstations from having data files during backup.

My batch file starts:

Net pause Netlogon
Net pause Server
NET session /delete /y

This should kick all users off network and not allow them to log back in. However, I can walk to my XP Prof workstation and readily see info on the server drive. Why?? At this point, my session should have been terminated and I should not be allowed to log back on.

Thanks, Randy
