Create a system that polls a table for things to email... this can be written in any flavor of VFP. Have something like;
cemail - email address of recipient
cbody - body of email message
csubject - subject of message
mattachment - memo field containing attachments
csender - email address of sender
dsent - date email sent

Your clipper app can just insert into the table. When the VFP app see one that has an empty dsent, it processes it and sends it.
