I usually remove the contents of the expr, tag and tag2 fields within the frx file for my distribution. However, in the expr field, I leave the page orientation line intact so that landscape printing are recognized.
Recently, I've this problem whereby the report printed fine in a dot matrix but within the same LAN, printed out in huge fonts (30+size instead of the normal 9) in deskjet printer.
I had to restore back all the contents within the expr field before the report is printed correctly in the deskjet. However, switching back to the dot matrix caused alignment problems instead.
Is there a tried and tested method to avoid such incidences and to be able to freely print to any printer without such problems?
I normally call my reports as follow:-
report form &myreportname to print prompt preview noconsole
