Depends on what you want to spend. MSDN Pro will get you visual studio. MSDN Universal get's you SQL Server etc (and more stuff than you'll ever need).
Check out E-Bay and look for the 'Buy-Now's'. I got the Universal for $895 US. Right now, that works out to just under $1200 Cdn. It's a great deal. I'm not sure if the rebate offer is still on, but it was when I ordered it, so I'll be getting $460.00 Cdn back from MS for ordering it on DVD rather than CD. Also, because it included VS 2003, I get a free Viewsonic Pocket PC.
This thing just about cost me nothing when you look at it fully.
