Of course the underlying foundation will change. It did in VFP, and I'm sure will again multitudinous times in .NET
You seem to have a fairly dismal view of other progammers, Morgan. I don't presume to speak for all progammers, but I can't think of any who merely sit, wait, and hope when technology changes. Personally, I adjusted, so did the framework, and those of us who planned to move on did so with great rapidity.
Apparently, you're of the opinion that we're all at the mercy of the framework architect's whim. Again, I can only write from the perspective of being a MM user (and this _is_ the Mere Mortals .NET Framework slice o' heaven in this forum, after all), but since we started working with him more than 4 years ago, we have never had that feeling with Kevin.
