>>The professionals to whom I refer work for MICROSOFT SOLUTION PROVIDERS as well as Merrill Lynch in the Jacksonville, FL, area. If they are not professionals, where does that leave you?

>Your original message was not asking any quesitons on how to eliminate the problems your described. It was simply spouting off with no discussion of any specific reasons for the statements you made. Your quoting of "professionals" was insulting to the people here, perhaps unintended on your part.

>Therear e a large number of folks here and many mroe that are not here who are using VF to build robust applications everyday. These applications are fully accepted by users and they are not complaining about performance. Those simple facts would indicate that there is perhaps something that you don't know about how to make the Fox run fast.

>As for the ":professionals" you are referring to, well I for one have never put down any developmetn tool just because I don't use it. I especially don't put down a tool unless I can tell you exactly what is wrong with it and why. Aparently the group of "professionals" with whom you spoke couldn't tell why the VFP forms were not performing to your desires but htey found it perfectly ok to ride you about using VFP. Hmm, what does that say about them? For what it's worth I don't care who they work for, I have met baffoons in big and small companies.

>If you need assistance with getting a VFP application working the way you want, ask away. There are alot of people here who are perfectly happy to help in any way they can. If you want to spout off about how much you think VFP is a lousy product, go somewhere where you can find sympathetic ears. Perhaps you could stop in at Merrill Lynch at lunchtime.

Only I had two problems. Slow forms and an annoying aspect of the DBC. I even read once where Drew Speedie (sp?) said that Fox could use compiled forms...
