You can access FPW tables and perform any maintenance you want on them using any version of VPW. They will all be free tables as there was no DBC in FPW.
You can not modify the structure of those tables by using any of the data types that were new to VPW such as currency, datetime, etc.
You can use the REINDEX command to rebuild all the indexes, or can remove the indexes and rebuild them using the INDEX command without any problems.
If you get a "Not a table/.dbf" error message when trying to access the tables with FPW, you can fix that by using it with VPW and then using the Copy to ... command with the "TYPE Fox2x " parameter.
We have lots of customers using a FPW app and have they have various flavors of VPW and do some of their own things with the data.
Hope this helps,
Tom
