Hi Alan.

Great to see there are some other people out there developing for Pocket Pc's

Jave you done anything yet with XML on the Pocket PC. That would be a great route to go but I would be concerned about:
1) Speed of File access using XML
2) File bloat.

Our typical app will require a Stock File with possibly thousands of records as well as a cutomer file in the hundreads. Th user will need to access the stock records fairly quickly (typical scenario.. delivering to a shop/restaurant and might gave to enter 10-15 line items )

Have you done any timings with these sort of volumes on XML at the Pocket PC end ?

regards,

Gerard

>I'm currently working on an app for our sales people that allows order review, pricing info, sales info, customer info etc, etc. I'm using C#. I will be using XML for data storage on this version. The updated files will be connected to our server via a web site transfer nightly.
