Yes, the table is "read only" by design and it is included in the .exe. The table is in a grid on a form with a combobox as the parent and the grid as the child. The odd thing is that I didn't have the problem intil I upgaded to VFP8. I believe "set notify off" used to cancel these messages in prior versions? I also tried placing "Set notify off" just prior to opening the form, but it didn't help.
