Before changing Mere Mortals .NET Source Code...
As you use the Mere Mortals Framework to build applications, you may find the need to enhance or alter the behavior of the Framework to achieve specific functionality. Before doing so, check with us first!

We are continually enhancing the Framework and may have already added the functionality you need…OR we may make the change to the Framework for you and for the benefit of other Mere Mortals developers. We always welcome new ideas and suggestions for improvements to the Framework.

Hey Kevin... <bg>

Glen,
Some questions, please:

Are you using a business object registered with the user manager class to extend this functionality?

Are you storing the preferences as name/value pairs, or are you doing something like creating an app.config (or some xml format) stored in a memo/text field for maximum flexibility?

TIA,
Chris.

>>Is there a way to persist user based preferences? I see the basic mechanism for application settings is in the app.config or web.config files, but this would typically be used as setting that all users would share.

>This is .NET your talking about, right? Not VFP? We are using the .NET MM framework and we are extending the UserMgr to read in his Prefs & State after login, and save them back out on exit. It is in tables in the backend.
