I'm pretty happy about this. Vancouver/Whistler is pretty high profile as a North American desintation. It'll be nice for the larger world community to see it. I sure hope it doesn't send real-estate prices upwards like Expo 86 did.

Shelia Copps said that the federal government was very serious about this bid and was involved from the start. It is good to see the eastern politicians care about us a bit for a change. :-)
