First of all, what is the line 242 in frmpLookup Init. Also, do you have 242 lines of code in Init? Sounds like a lot to me... Finally, I don't like to call one event from another, e.g. interactivechange from dropdown. I'm not sure, if this is the source of the problem, but it doesn't look "kosher" to me... :)

Unfortunately, I can not really help you, since I don't have VFP8 installed . Is it only problem in VFP8? Can you reproduce this problem on the simple form?
