Can you give more clarity with the work need to be accomplished.

If you store path in database. then why not to open the files directly.

Even if you need to make multipage document you can create a master document of all criterion set of files through Word File merge.

Is crystal really need to come in picture?

>Thanks Aashish, but I don't think that really answers my question. The changes to the Word documents in my question will be done in Word by our librarian and published into a certain directory. Multi-page documents are separated into separated docs for each page because of some limitation of OLE. The paths to those files are stored in our database. I need to select those files based on certain criteria and build a multi-page document (this is where Crystal comes in) from those Word docs.
