Does the combined file size wind up bigger than 1,457,664 bytes (including the slack space)? The VFP 5 setup disks I created put 23 files using the full diskette for Disk 1. You might also check that you are using SP3 and/or have got the latest Setup Wizard.

>No bad clusters, no hidden files. Brand new disks, preformatted, which failed, then reformatted,which failed to. Max files was 25. Thought it may have something to do with NT but tried 95 and MS DOS. Wondering now if its a diskette drive problem... what a pain.
