On the MS Tooltip control, nodes will show a tooltip on MouseOver if the treeview control is not wide enough to show the full text.

However, the tootip has a maximum length of 79 characters. This leads to the ridiculous situation where, on a treeview wide enough to display more than 79 characters, but not wide enough to display the node's entire text, a tooltip shorter than the visible text is displayed.

I can find no way of disabling the tooltip from either the VFP form's ShowTips property, or a property in the TreeView. Does any one have a work around for this problem - possibly disabling tooltips at a Windows level?
