Yes, but this assumes that the only backend is SQL server - which, as I understand it is NOT the case here - the same code has to run against VFP, SQL and potentially other ack ends too.
There are lots of solutions when youare only dealing with one environment, it gets harder when you have to maintain things in multiple different environments.
