Open the report
Go to the page setup
Go to the print setup
Select a different printer
If you don't see a Generic Text printer from the drop down, you should be able to add it from the Start, Settings, Printers dialog.

Note: this is not a fool proof solution. It may work if the report does not have a lot of fancy stuff in it. Also, I remember one nightmare I had with dot matrix printers in which I had to start the report from scratch using the Generic Printer as the base printer for the document.
