How about just for now to comment out SetFocus and DoScroll completely (not invoke even in Activate). Would the form still fail? I agree, it would be nice, if somebody from MS can take a look...
I also know the old saying: "if it's not broken, don't fix it" It's a little bit sad, I can not live by this principle. If I get a program/application from another programmer, I would modify 80% of the code to meet my own coding standards...
