I hadn't used these commands since I moved to VFP a number of years ago so I hadn't noticed this behaviour and it's unlikely I'd have any need to use them again - it was just a quick & dirty utility that I threw together.
I didn't realise that this behaviour had been documented so far back. Thanks for your reply.
