MapPoint is available through the Action Pack subscription - http://members.microsoft.com/partner/salesmarketing/partnermarket/actionpack/. However, I'm not sure it's available in India.

Looks like you can download an evaluation version of MapInfo from http://www.mapinfo.com/products/Download.cfm?ProductID=1044.
