As Elmer stated, yes, there were Distrubtion Kits, and, like him, I still have the one from 2.6. I think that the practice may have gone all the way back to FoxBASE+ 2.10, if not before. I know there was one for that version. Additionally, in at least 2.6, there was a "Connectivity Kit" that allowed you to connect with ODBC back-ends, such as Sybase, SQL Server, etc.
This brings up an interesting question that I don't have the answer to. I'm thinking that perhaps, just perhaps, the total cost of FPW plus the Distribution Kit and Connectivity Kit might be more (considering inflation) than the cost of a new VFP package (not upgrade). Anyone got some old receipts or ads out there?
