If I could only modify the Header of the DBF to decouple it from the CDX (so I can open the table without the CDX). But I guess, I also would need to modify the CONTAINER too.

As a vfp9 wish, they should put "NOCDX", as an option in the USE command, that would automatically delete the CDX and open the table without cdx.
