They should put "NOCDX", as an option in the USE command.
This would then automatically delete the CDX file (and all refernces to it), openning the table WITHOUT cdx. Then the cdx can be recreated.
I can't believe repairing a damaged INDEX file (error 114- Index does not match...) should be this complicated to do.
I think having to store a blank copy of the CDX file in a memo field, and then recreating the file from it, is a bit wacky... But, the best solution I have heard yet... In retrospect, I wish I had used a different name for the cdx files (than the default dbf name).
This suggestion would only make solving this very FREQUENT problem, more reasonable...
