Thanks Sergey
>AFAIK, VSI/MSI creates installation log. Did you look into it for some clues?
I have confirmed this. I had recently done an installation from the my HDD on the LAN, there is no log created on my HDD, any other place?. This is a non-directory install, ie. all the files go to the winsys dir, because all of these are either msm (for vfp, odbc, etc.), ocx's and a plb.
Please advise.
OT 1: If it is okay, recently you had responded to a query of mine involving a form containg a custom object which has common methods that are called by the controls on that form. I had responded to your question but I haven't received an reply from you. In short would you advise such a way of development?
OT 2: I have uploaded a Table Builder on my personal site. Just in case if you are interested in giving it a try. This will provide a browse window interface of creating/modifing table structure and will allow full cut-paste plus a bit of customizations can be applied for index and default fields using hook PRGs. I had developed for a personal use and because it is my baby I am crazy about it's efficiency <g>.
http://venussoftop.tripod.com/Bhavbhuti/ There are limitation of recreating relations and saving of data if the structure is modified. The limitation of recreating existing Indices if the table is modified has been removed, which I borrowed from the DBCx. Are there any such pre-existing code that you may know of with which I can remove the other 2 limitations, then please let me know I will incorporate it in the builder, but definately I wouldn't want to start coding for it because it does the initial job well and I can't find time yet to go into heavy duty coding.
Hope you like it.
