I have deleted user profiles in Windows 95 and Windows 98, without problems. Care must be taken, however, of the following: some users have the habit to place documents or other files directly on their desktop (instead of a shortcut, which causes less trouble). These files will be deleted together with the user profile.
I don't know how the situation is in Windows 2000 or XP.
