Fellow UT members,

I have run into an issue in 4 different applications I have written to utilize SDT 6.1b with the same set of metadata.

Running a stonefield repair on a free table corrupts the data. The data is re-arranged in different fields and some completely corrupt records are added to the table in these instances. This behavior does not occur on the majority of data folders, but in approximately 2-5 percent of the data folders checked. So far, I've only examined this behavior in one particular table in multiple data folders. This is also the only table we've made a significant structure modification to as well.

I've looked at messages on UT in the last 2 years that mentione repair and corrupt and neither of the issues raised appears to contain a resolution for the issue I've been trying to resolve. I've attempted the repair with and without a pack, with and without recreating from meta data, and without running any other SDT method on the data. All of these corrupt the data.

I have reproduced this issue in VFP6, VFP7, and VFP8 all using Stonefield 6.1b.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

regards,

Jim Erwin
