Thanks for the reply. Nothing environmentally unique about my VFP installation that I can think of. Are you issuing "MODI FORM ... NOWAIT" from within a PRG? The behavior is fine from the command window (which ignores the NOWAIT keyword, anyway, since NOWAIT is implicit from the command window), but not when executed as a statement in a routine.
