Thanks for your efforts so far, but, now that I use the code in real life, it didn't really solve the problem. X-p

The READ EVENTS, in effect, turns the editing process into a modal process - in other words, I can't do anything else until I exit the form editing process (including not being able to bring up the command window).

The point of the NOWAIT keyword in MODI FORM is to prevent just this restriction. <s>

Back to the drawing board!!
