Jim,

I know this thread has already run it's course, but I do want to add something to it before everyone simply leaves with the impression that the Fox will never die and that you are the Guy Fawkes in the UT community. There is no question in my mind that Foxpro is not the future. It has provided for me for many years, but the jobs are harder and harder to come by. I begrudge no one for trying to offer training and making money on something that they know very well. Whether there is a future in a product or not, if someone wants to learn it and pay to do so, so be it. I'm sure at some point in the future you will be teaching .Net to a class and be getting grief because you are looking towards the new .SkyNet technology. There is another thread floating around here regarding how the Foxpro certification will no longer be offered after next year. Oddly, no one seems to see that as an indication of the direction of things. I'm personally looking into concentrating on .Net and SQL technology for the inevitable day when it's not just a matter of not finding Foxpro work for a year, but rather not finding it at all. I love programming in Foxpro, but more importantly I love programming; I'm going to ensure that I continue to have that opportunity.
