I have had exactly the same experience between VFP8 and VFP7. I recently
wrote my first COM dll (I'm a COM newbie...). It works perfectly when compiled in VFP7, but after compiling in VFP8 it will not even regsiter.
The resultant dll is 11.3k in VFP7 and 23k when compiled in VFP8.
I've tested this on 2 different IIS Servers.

I have absolutely NO idea what's going on, but I can't afford to even
mess with VFP8 right now.
