Thanks for the help...that did the trick. I also found a program named 'UPDCURSOR.PRG' that does all that work for me. It creates a completely updateable cursor so when I issue a sqlcommit(). I'm curious though, is there really that much of a difference in issuing a sqlcommit versus tableupdate?
