I would like to post the solution to my problem here
so that anyone encountering the same issues might benefit.

After receiving your last thread I uploaded the VFP support DLLs to the server and registered them. My COM server then worked as expected.
Because I am not certain that my COM was generated as a Single, I
uploaded both the vfp7r and vfp7t files.

The files that are necessary for runnig the COM are, as you pointed out:

vfp7r.dll (register through regsvr32)
vfp7t.dll (register through regsvr32)
vfp7renu.dll
msvcr70.dll

I placed them in the same directory as the COM dll.
